DELEGATION FROM INDIA VISITED TOMSK UNIVERSITIES AND INNOVATIVE COMPANIES

Business representatives from India have paid a working visit to the Tomsk innovative enterprises and universities. The result of the meetings will be the entry of Tomsk business into the Indian market.

Representatives of seven Indian companies arrived to Tomsk region with the working visit. The delegates represented such fields as aerial photography and aerial videos, medical products, computer animation, oil and gas industry, consumer goods and production of packaging materials. Indian businessmen visited the special economic zone "Tomsk", got acquainted with the developments of Tomsk universities. Also in the framework of the working visit there was signed a cooperation agreement with the Tomsk innovative company "Akvelit".

"Some Indian companies came to the particular Tomsk entrepreneurs. For example, there is an interest in promotion in India and Singapore production of "Tomskkabel' company ", — said the head of the Center for Development of Foreign Economic Activity of Tomsk Chamber of Commerce and Industry Alexander Belyaev.

The representative of the Indian company's Dabas Engineering Dabas Durant stressed that nowadays Tomsk enterprises have good prospects for entering into Indian market.

"There is a great chance for Tomsk at the moment. It is the Golden time, I could say. Many niches will be already occupied in five years. The basic things that people use every day are manufactured in India, but the technology is the most important thing now, and Tomsk can offer high-quality products," said Dabas Dushyant.

He added that he is ready to consult Tomsk businessmen and help them to adapt to Indian market.
